Karen Lowther

Manager

Karen (aka Karen 1) has been Manager of the Garden since 2005. With over 22 years practical experience in garden design and implementation, she is the top holder of medals won for garden design in New Zealand at the Ellerslie Flower Show as well as two international Gold Awards. She has been senior design judge in NZ and internationally, including the Chelsea Flower Show. Karen designed the Rose, Perennial, Native Cultivar and Edible Gardens at the Auckland Botanic Gardens. Karen Taylor

Assistant Manager

Karen (aka Karen 2) has been with the Garden since 2005, first as a volunteer and for the last few years as Assistant Manager. She takes care of memberships, newsletter, the website, endowments and special projects. She works Wednesday through Friday. Email Karen Taylor

Karen Macy

Accounts Clerk and Gatehouse Staff

Karen (aka Karen 3) joined the Garden in 2009. She handles the Accounting side of things as well as welcoming visitors at the Gatehouse and handling general queries. Email Karen Macy

Barbara Richards

Gatehouse Staff

Barbara joined the Garden in 2007 and welcomes visitors at the Gatehouse as well as attending to plant sales and general queries . She works Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Email Barbara

Jan Goode

Gatehouse Staff

Jan, a long-time member of staff, takes care of our Plant Sales area and works in the Gatehouse several days a week as well as Saturdays. Jan is a talented floral artist and makes all the lovely posies available for sale at the entry. Email Jan

Coreen Higgins

Gardener

Coreen, our talented and hard-working gardener has been with us for over a year. She has over 15 years gardening and landscape design experience and the garden is flourishing as a result of her boundless enthusiasm and energy.

Jonathan Corbett

Gardener

Jonathan Corbett, our new gardener, joined us in February this year. We are please to welcome Jonathan to the garden, he has over ten years landscape design, construction and maintenance experience, having owned his own landscaping business in Northland.
